Why pay for that dedicated FAX or MODEM line when you're using it just minutes a day? With the two-port Versa-Link © ATX-250, a phone line can be shared by any combination of two communication devices such as modems, phones, fax machines, answering machines, and credit card terminals. The ATX-250 includes a 300 Volt surge suppressor which provides added protection for your sensitive telecommunications equipment. It answers all incoming calls, detects CNG/DTMF tones and routes to the specified destination. Calls can be manually transferred between the phone, fax or modem at anytime by either the caller or the called party. The "Selective Ring" mode works with the "Distinctive Ring" service offered by your local phone company. It detects the different ring patterns associated with each phone number and routes the call to devices designated for answering that phone number. Privacy is assured when utilizing the line for voice or data communications. When the phone line is accessed by one device, the others will receive a busy signal. Another feature of the Versa-Link© ATX-250 is memory. In case of a power outage or equipment failure, the ATX-250 will automatically reset itself to the program you have selected. No need for reprogramming or battery backups. The Versa-Link© ATX-250 has a two-year warranty (US only) on all parts and labor. It is UL/CSA approved and listed.
