This product is the same subwoofer included in the other Polycom VTX 1000 packages. It is used when you wish to make a call to another VTX 1000 so you can connect in Wideband mode.
Only one subwoofer can be used on a VTX 1000, and the VTX is the only SoundStation to which a subwoofer can be connected.
